Australian Athletes with a Disability

Australian Athletes with a Disability is responsible for the administration of three National Sports Organisations for the Disabled and was formed in 2003. The three organisations are: Australian SportsOrganisation for the Disabled (ASOD),Cerebral PalsyAustralian Sports and Recreation Federation (CPASRF), and Wheelchair Sports Australia (WSA).

Disabled Surfers Association of Australia Inc

The DSA is creating opportunities for everyone, including our disabled participants and able bodied volunteers, to experience our unique, safe and happy surfing events, whilst under complete supervision from our trained Team Leaders and Beach Marshalls.

Disabled Winter Sport Australia

The organisations members range from recreation skiers to Australia's Winter Paralympians.  Membership to the organisation entitles membership holders to concessions on lift passes and private lessons at all ski resorts in Australia, as well as access to an extensive range of adaptive ski equipment, discounted accessible accommodation, and a range of skill development, sport and recreation programs.  From these programs some of the world's finest alpine skiers have emerged who have recorded victories at the highest level of international competition.

Life Stream Foundation

Life Stream Foundation facilitates a wide range of opportunities for people with a intellectual disability to enable them to participate in sport and recreation activities within the community. Life Stream Foundation also supports people to ehsure they have the skills, confidence, friends and support to access community based sport and recreation independently.  Life Stream Foundation assists state sporting organisations and other community groups to develop appropriate programs for people with an intellectual disability to participate at their skill level.

Reclink Australia

Reclink Australia is a charitable organisation whose mission is to provide sporting, social and arts activities to enhance the lives of people experiencing disadvantage. 

Some of our regular activities include: weekly golf, swimming, table tennis, and squash, ten pin bowling and basketball, a Women’s Program, a monthly run/walk, mini golf, as well as regular “come & try” and social activities. Our seasonal team sports include our famous grass-roots football fixture – in which almost 1000 people take part from April to August each year – cricket and 8 Ball, regular skills development courses and a newly created sports integration project. In the last year Reclink Australia activities have involved 1000’s of participants, in our sport development courses to ten pin and lawn bowling championships to ice skating to Jazz at the Melbourne Zoo.
